Preventative health services allow us to monitor pets’ ongoing health, detect problems early, and keep parasites and certain illnesses at bay. We recommend annual wellness exams for pets under the age of seven and twice-yearly exams for pets older than seven. During your dog or cat’s exam, we’ll check them over from the end of their snout to the tip of their tail. We’ll also look inside their ears, eyes, nose, and mouth, check their weight and temperature, and more. This is also when we’ll go over preventative services like vaccinations, weight management, parasite control, dental care, spaying/neutering, etc.
If you have a senior pet, we recommend running a blood chemistry screening. This enables us to detect early warning signs of diseases we can’t find during a hands-on physical exam.
